Spicy take 🌶️ Most "award-winning" design is just expensive art that doesn't convert. Your job isn't to impress designers at agencies, it's to get your client new leads.

When I started my development journey at 40 I had no idea what I was doing. I remember buying a theme on WordPress, tweaking some CSS and thinking “hey this feels right.” WordPress was my gateway into real web work because it let me build real websites fast and deliver value
