Bills reflecting the new rates will be mailed out beginning July 2025. The new rates will increase the avg. residential stormwater utility bill by $2.11/year. Individual bills will vary based largely on the amount of hard surfaces, such as rooftops and driveways, on a property.

Heads up: Most Athens-Clarke County Stormwater customers will see a 3.75% increase to their stormwater bills starting July 1, 2025. This is the second in a series of planned rate adjustments, following the first increase in 2024 after the fee remained unchanged since beginning in.
