So GF has basically confirmed the Pokémon they plan to add in The Crown Tundra with the dex entries they left out (+/- Mewtwo, Mew, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, which are already available but not with dex entries)
So if you visit Lisa's Pokémon Camp on Route 8, you'll find an Espeon named Bonbon. This is because the string for its name is pointed at the Bounsweet on Route 3's camp, rather than the intended name on Route 8 (which would be "Esper")
Pokémon Korea will be releasing "Pocket Monsters: Johto Region Story, The Final Chapter" in May
The last 15 episodes of Johto (episodes 260-274) were skipped in the Korean dub when it first aired, so this is the first time they'll air in Korean

This is likely from the same list that went around before The Isle of Armor--basically, GF *deleted* the dex entries for these Pokémon, rather than leaving them blank like the Pokémon that weren't intended to come back (like the Weedle, Pidgey, and Rattata lines)
"We Go (English Ver.)" by
#aespa
is also being used as the opening theme of the English dub of
#PokemonHorizons
: The Series on Pokémon Asia ENG
The dub ED is kept, but it's missing most of the English production credits, oddly enough
The Japanese Pokémon Center Online is using the placeholder Pokédex numbers AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD, and EEE for the Scarlet/Violet Pokémon in the code, amusingly
Interesting, it seems that this person tracked down someone with scans of the scripts of the unaired "Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma" episodes from Best Wishes!
"Androgynous Pretty Boy Gou
Gou leaves an impression with his full-body silhouette and clean face. The red highlights in his hair are also androgynous and stylish. It's exactly the appearance suitable for a protagonist opening the new era."
The video description says it will be available in "eight languages" as well as it being on the Japanese domain, so it should be available elsewhere eventually
Guesses based on sorting data:
- 1604 sells for $10 and sorts after Armorite Ore, so some kind of "Crownite Ore"
- 1606 sells for $10 and sorts between the Ability Capsule and the mints, so it probably changes something
- 1592 sorts after Galarica Cuff, so yeah, Galarian Slowking
This just in: Game Freak left in actual important item data for all of The Crown Tundra items.
Items 1590/1591 have the same effect code as DNA Splicers, N-Solarizer & N-Lunarizer. Since there are only 2 of them, we can assume they work similarly to DNA Splicers (unfused/fused).
Nintendo, Creatures, and Game Freak have applied for the trademarks 一撃マスター (Single Strike Master; T2020-74996) and 連撃マスター (Rapid Strike Master; T2020-74997), referencing both of Urshifu's forms
Probably a dual TCG expansion
Looks like Juliana means "youthful" and Florian means "flowering", so those would indeed connect with 青い aoi "green", 春 haru "spring", and 青春 seishun "youth" in Aoi/Haruto
@Sibuna_Switch
This is what's stated in the guidebook btw:
"...a really high sociability level also gives your Pokémon a chance of drawing the attention of wild Pokémon..."
"...other Trainer's Pokémon feel generous when they're sociable...their Pokémon may share a little treat..."
I'm not sure if they've actually improved the look or if I'm just getting used to it, but the 3D models replacing the party sprites on the left... don't look terrible?
For some reason, Netflix has decided to use the "Pocket Monsters" part of the Pokémon Sword/Shield logo for Season 1 for US users with their language set to Japanese
Three trademarks filed by GF, Creatures, Nintendo on the 15th, with rough translations:
- 双璧のファイター (Matchless Fighters; T2020-114520)
- 白銀のランス (Silver Lance; T2020-114521)
- 漆黒のガイスト (Jet-Black Poltergeist; T2020-114522)
Most likely for the TCG

In Italy, it looks like Pokémon Horizons will be premiering on Boing in spring 2024, instead of K2 as was previously announced
Amusingly, it looks like their announcement uses fanart by
@nashirasauce
with the watermark still intact (under Liko's arm)
Looks like a new planetarium special was announced a while back, titled "Message from the Aurora" (オーロラからのメッセージ). It was supposed to be released this summer but got delayed until the fall
It looks like they've removed the OP/ED staff listing on the official site for obvious reasons, I wonder if we'll see something similar during the airing itself

To those of you who followed me for Pokémon data-mining, I hope my regular tweets don't overly bore you...
For the people who care about things like the names of Legendary Pokémon groups, there are some (in Japanese) in the file peonymemo in the text dump:
ほうじょうのおう (kings of fertility/abundance)
でんせつのきょじん (Legendary titans)
でんせつのとり (Legendary birds)
As pointed out to me on the Bulbagarden forums, it seems this upload is actually an early version of the animation before all of the effects were finished compared to the broadcast
The CoroCoro interview with the guest voice actors for Koko confirms that there will be a manga featuring original episodes from Koko's childhood at age 7 before meeting Ash
The key items:
- 1593-6 sort between Rotom Catalog and DNA Splicers, so some other form-related use?
- 1590/1 sort between N-Lunarizer and Zygarde Cube as noted
- 1597 sorts after Armor Pass, so "Crown Pass"
- 1598-03 are at the bottom before the charms, so likely fetch quests
Ways to prevent gray market imports of your product:
1. Make your logo a different color from the one you use in "richer" countries
2. Put large text with the intended region of release under your logo
3. Put a small, silver sticker saying where it was licensed for
