I'm rarely if ever on this broken hellsite anymore, but when I am it's to share praise for my friend's incredible play. I saw it in previews the other week, and it really is That Good. I've seen three productions now and it's wrung me out every time.

I've been thinking a lot about David Lynch and what he meant to me for obvious reasons over the last week, so I wrote about him for @Sojourners.

Like, I've always maintained 2007 was the year the world collectively decided 00s pop culture didn't need to suck anymore, but man. I'd forgotten how great it felt to have a new masterpiece released practically every week.

Listened to this episode this morning and now I can't stop thinking about how many artists put out stunning albums in 2007. M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Spoon, Feist, St. Vincent, Kanye, New Pornographers. it was a great year.
