There is nothing wrong for someone who is less Jewishly literate to make a mistake
There’s a hell of a lot wrong with a group positioning themselves as knowledgeable and steeped in a tradition they literally can’t spell out
@abbaleh
It doesn’t require an extensive Jewish education to look at that and think “maybe we should get someone who really knows this stuff to give this a once over.”
Of course, that would necessitate finding someone who is both knowledgeable and sympathetic to their agenda.
@jmp_nyc
It doesn’t require extensive education to look up a picture of a Seder plate and copy the symbols
There was a ton of time spent making that thing but some aspects rated more time and attention than others, clearly
@PYMundGenealogy
The crazy part is that pics of Kearot with correctly spelled labels are available in abundance online and easily copied
This type of error takes more effort and precision to make than it does to avoid
Also if the Parah Adumah stuff shows up in these protests I’m gonna lose it
@abbaleh
This is like the author of AOT thinking "Hmmm yes these clothes and technology look accurate enough for 9th century Germany" and publishing it with no further research.
Also:
@abbaleh
Even if they were all Torah gedolim which they aren't.
No group of people should serve as "excuse" to question the very existence of another group of people.
"Christians against Italy" would never get the same attention from mainstream media...
@abbaleh
it’s not like they spelled some words wrong, which would be less embarrassing…. THIS IS SHOWING THEY DONT KNOW HEBREW AT ALL (cause most of them aren’t event jewish…)
