Today my 1st period students who use to moan and groan about reading for 15 min. in class informed me that 20 min. was no longer enough time, and petitioned me for 30 min. of reading tomorrow. My work here is done.

Parents absolutely get to decide what books their kids read or don’t, but their jurisdiction doesn’t extend to other people’s children. Our family (and many others) wants our kids/grandkids to read accurate history and the rich stories of ALL of humanity. Leave our kids alone.
