One more item I wanted to point out before I go - right down the road from airport there's an outdoor amphitheater which often shows movies with kind of an old school drive-in theatre feel I would imagine.

Limited on time but wanted to stop by downtown Columbia before heading home. Was advised to steer clear on Friday and Saturday as there was some rivalry football game about to take place (as evidenced from all the yellow and black attire on the 2nd leg of my flight the other day)

Unprecedented even for me - ice cream at 8:30 a.m. but I had this place on my list and they were open. Worth the $2.50 investment and I suppose was my "glass of milk" for the day.

(Don't worry, I was stopped...absolutely no other cars were around on this road) The rural parts I drove through during this trip actually reminded me a lot of eastern Lancaster County Pennsylvania...maybe because I saw some horse & buggies too throughout the weekend!

Finally an occasion where I have enough time AND brought the appropriate attire AND the hotel has a pool!

Still full from lunch (terrible wording once you see what's pictured) but I stopped to see what this place a short drive down the road from the track is all about.
