There is also an undeniable expectation of high performance from every team. However, if they don't have an open, supportive and welcoming environment where employees don't feel comfortable sharing their concerns & feedback, the expectation will be meandering away from reality.

To my mind and in my own practice, having clear communication about the processes and the goal is important for all the stakeholders to be on the same page. Defining SOPs and having timely follow-ups help in building a better delivering team.
