magazine articles can be a great place for ideas that might not fit in a regular paper, e.g., - provoke discussion - inspire new research agendas - systematize existing bodies of knowledge - critique existing approaches - offer original case studies or research

I've taken multidisciplinary perspectives to study tech & society throughout my academic journey. With much gratitude to my co-advisors @franziroesner @yoshi_kohno, I'm excited to graduate with a PhD from @uwcse in 2025. Don't hesitate to reach out online or catch me at CSCW!

My PhD research looks at societal forces like gender & social media to understand / respond to harms where security, privacy, & HCI meet. Deep dives incl. interpersonal abuse, image-based sexual abuse (e.g., synthetic nonconsensual explicit images, "deepfake porn"), online hate.
