Thanks! I took motivation from others learning their nth language with a non-native language they have learned. Also I felt fear “letting go” of my Chinese to put time on another language so I decided to merge them. Maybe I can reinforce the basics this way
Learning a language feels like you’re not making any progress at all and then suddenly you just had a conversation on your TL language, or you read a wall of text and understood it! Slowly but surely you’ll get there

I hate when people make fun of how other languages sound. My mind cannot comprehend how you listen to a different language and automatically need to mock it. Ugh! Languages are such a beautiful thing breaks my heart seeing that behavior
I am kinda annoyed with some polyglots on YouTube saying. “I don’t study I just watch movies and I learn the language” or “I literally just picked it up by trying to speak with people with x language” like bruh
wowowowow!! this is literally life changing! i can now copy and paste and add it to my spreadsheet then anki deck. (sorry for funky sentence haha reading a book and didn't understand)
Learning a language is the most beautiful thing. Yes you learn new words, but you learn a whole new way of expressing yourself and interacting with people. You learn about their culture, history, mannerism and way of being.AH! It’s just beautiful

Well I couldn’t find a lesson plan from zh -> pt soo instead I’m just writing all my notes in those two languages. Or if I want to translate something I translate it to mandarin. I don’t have an official process since I’m just starting out but so far so good I think it’s fun!
Learning languages has me thinking “wow I’ll be fluent in no time!” And other days “I feel like I can’t even for a single sentence I’ll never learn this language 😭😭😭” anyone else ?
#langtwt
Wait I just realized that it’s actually been a year since I started studying Chinese!!!!!!! June 30 was my first day 😍😍 wow!! I feel like that was just yesterday
How do I not feel bad for dropping a language because I lost interest.. :( I feel so guilty for becoming uninterested after 1 year of studying…
#langtwt
starting to study a new language is so exciting because you have to figure out a new method for it!! Compared to chinese portugese is just much easier but it has its challenges
I need to chill. If I don’t become fluent in Mandarin Chinese within a year the world isn’t gonna end! I feel a lot of urgency because I want to already read stuff that I want to, and visit China and not struggle but I gotta be realistic here!😭
I have cracked the code. My Chinese isn’t getting worse, it’s just I can only talk about interests, hobby’s, and what I did that day, travel plans so many times until it becomes the same robotic conversation over and over with my tutor.

This bothers me so much😭 minors should not interact with novels that are made for adults. All these novels have trigger warnings and age restrictions for a reason!
My parents risked and left everything to come to the US to give me a better life.. and here I am thinking about moving to Mexico 💀 my parents are like bruh😭
wooo!! finished reading a short novel in chinese with 29,939字!! I saved all words i didn't know throguh zhonwen extension and wow its only 1,200 that i didn't know wooo!! and all the words are either slang, and specific words! If yall want to read:
After you learn all the basic words how do you learn harder words ?! 🥲 I can have a basic convo now, speak about various topics and express my opinion. I’m FAR from fluent what do I do?! What’s next?!
#langtwt
i think the hardest part of learning a language is not the vocab or grammar its expressing yourself naturally. There are many expressions, reactions, and way of speaking we use in our native languages that most of the time don't apply to our TL. I love learning 😍
#langtwt
I am proud of being Mexican 🇲🇽! I find joy in sharing the beauty of our culture, our food, our way of life. Cultures have so much history and reasons to how they came to be and its beautiful. I wish the world would learn to love one another and learn about each other.
I need to watch more American media. When I talk to people irl I have nothing in common😭 like who is x actor huh??? What movie? The author did what.. wait who’s that?💀 I’m lost haha
Thanks for 1k followers!!!!🎉 I truly appreciate all of you!! This community has made me feel supported throughout my whole language journey & I have made many good friends on here! ♥️

Me: why do my hands hurt so bad ??
Also me: works on the 💻 8hrs/day, studies on 💻 2-3hrs, writes a bunch of notes. 😀
Anyways bought these things to wear at night because hand pain gets in the way
Praise me!! My tutor said “wow that was a good joke” 😭 I said a joke in Chinese !! Wooooo! We were talking about he can’t learn how to swim and I told him that my moms close friend threw me in the ocean so I could learn and I had no other option so I did,
why is losing weight so damn hard bruh i feel like im working out and eating right.. and im the same weight same size same me 😭 i do have cheat meals here and there to not go insane but still
Finding small similarities between Spanish and Chinese makes me so happy. I just realized we use “ummm” expression same way! “Esteee” “那个” they both mean “that” but we use it as umm 🥹 sorry had to share
