LWB on during the second half is an easy way for Frank to gain back some fan support

Spurs should sign Valdepenas ASAP. Can promise him immediate competition for starting spots. Unbelievably intelligent, great carrier, & powerful athlete. Solution finder in buildup, good associative qualities (knows when to under/overlap, 3rd man), & has a final ball on him too.
🚨🔴⚪️ Arsenal keep monitoring Real Madrid talent VĂctor Valdepeñas, as revealed back in October. He’s one of the names on #AFC shortlist as potential investment for next months, but his future remains in Real Madrid hands.

The identity of 'To Dare is To Do' is synonymous with Tottenham, but how can this be embodied on the pitch? In my mind, it's about high-intensity, pressing actions OOP & quick, decisive vertical movements IP. My question is does it need to be rooted in possession-based football?

the ability of this club to reel me back in just when I’m ready to quit is astounding. Jones is an elite progressive passers in this league, making it easily one of the best deals we could make. I look forward to seeing how / why we don’t.

Frank’s regression on the OOP side has been the most frustrating thing to watch in his tenure. I watched his Brentford teams repeatedly press Pep’s City from a goal kick, but now we allow West Ham to progress through the 1st & 2nd phase without even attempting to disrupt them.

had dudes questioning your manhood if you thought this wasn’t a pivot player by the way

While we’re talking, let’s get that cunt Vinai on the microphone & ask him what tangible signs are being displayed that Frank deserves to be manager of this club? Dude vomits up corporate garbage & expects the fans to be fine with paying a premium to watch this product.

time to issue a blank check, Lewis family. Very easy to release blanket statements on ambition, but it’s much harder to actually act on those claims.

Wouldn’t be a Tottenham match without an unforgivable mistake from Vicario. This guy costs us points every single week. Substandard on the ball and even worse when dealing with set pieces / crosses. One of the worst players I’ve ever seen entrusted in the leadership group.

passive 4-4-2 mid / low block versus one of the worst sides in the competition. Absolutely no intent to disrupt play in their first or second phase. Inevitably leads to easy final third & box entries which leads to “unlucky” situations like that.

I can honestly say that, for the first time in a while, I’m genuinely excited by the starting XI. Much braver to go with a Gray x Gallagher pivot. Think the extra mobility the latter adds will be noticeable from the off. Love the front three as well.

he's not incorrect that we have a lack of runners in our squad, it's one of the reasons we've consistently been linked to forwards despite being overstocked in those positions. However, that alone is not an excuse for individuals having more through balls than our entire team.
🎙️| Thomas Frank on the team’s lack of through balls this season: “We were bottom of that in the league and that’s a key thing. You need to run in behind if you want to score goals. That was a little bit down to [player] types. That’s a little down to training to enforce the

this is the right message from the wrong messenger. Where was this attitude with Djed Spence or Pape Matar Sarr? You seemed pretty unwilling to adapt when given those players. You went further than that, publicly embarrassing them by calling them club signings to the media.

https://t.co/rk1pO8HZ3b I always come back to this quote from Pep when people claim the two sides of the game are not interrelated. Defensive solidity will be fortified with greater control over the game via possession, & attacking output will increase with better solidity.
🎙️| Thomas Frank on the culture at Spurs: “It's a culture that's getting a little big stronger. I can see the small signs of the culture in the training. Very intense and focused, working very hard on the offensive part of the game. We know the defensive side looks better and

this is not exactly a glowing endorsement of your future employer
🎙️| John Heitinga’s agent on his client joining #Spurs: “John has listened to Tottenham Hotspur’s story and spoken to everyone who matters. He’s become convinced and knows what he’s getting into.” [@telegraaf via @Sport_Witness]
