Provide simple, Unix-like programs that Claude can compose to solve problems. I don’t add any MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. With that said, … An ambiguous error from a tool can send Claude down a rabbit hole, wasting time and tokens.

Stanford researchers found that developers using AI assistants produce significantly less secure code while believing it’s more secure. The tools amplify bad practices: no input validation, outdated dependencies, and architectural decisions that make senior engineers weep.

there’s a problem nobody talks about at conferences. GitClear’s analysis of 150 million lines of code reveals AI assistance correlates with 41% more code churn - code that gets reverted or rewritten within two weeks.

Code that nobody understands is tech debt. It takes a lot of time to understand unfamiliar code enough to debug it, let alone introduce new features without also introducing bugs.

you might now be dropped into the unfamiliar terrain of AI-generated code and asked to fix it: a much harder and more stressful task than working to fix something you have built up a mental model of and have some familiarity with. https://t.co/DjlxuATQd2

It’s 2021, over 6.5 years since writing this tutorial. I now work on operating systems in C for a living. I just wanted to say that I still do not remember how to declare a function pointer. I still need to Google it every time. ↩ https://t.co/xBsaCjsekk

But in the next decades something completely different happened: more powerful machines became available, not just an order of magnitude more powerful, even several orders of magnitude more powerful.
