Sowing seeds into Walney's mudflats is underwayπ Learn more about seagrass:
cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk
Meadows of seagrass spread across the seabed, their dense green leaves sheltering a wealth of wildlife including our two native species of seahorse.
So what happened with all those seagrass seeds we collected last year? π€ Here's Amber, one of our Marine Officers, to tell you about the next step in our restoration plans β essentially making little seagrass offerings for the #Walney Channel mudflats! (1/2) #Cumbria

Let's hope it ended in a meal π€ It's a tough time for birds of prey when the weather conditions are unfavourable. Thanks for sharing, Bert Sgroggins. Learn more about the barn owl π https://t.co/pfUahjb8BQ
cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk
The beautiful barn owl is, perhaps, our most-loved owl. With its distinctive heart-shaped face, pure white feathers, and ghostly silent flight, it's easy to identify. Look out for it flying low over...
To round off the day @_SouthWalney , the Barn Owls were out hunting, this from late afternoon, but also out this morning as they would have been unable to feed for the last couple of days.

Let me whisper in your ear. "Your Plaice or mine?" The Grey Seals were very active (and vocal) over high tide @_SouthWalney today. Ten of them came to watch me as I watched them from the main track.
