My hobby is writing a sick LD_PRELOAD to patch up a program, trying to figure out why it doesn’t work, then realizing it’s a static binary.

I think part of the reason why I feel the effective altruists are fundamentally unserious is their idea of optimizing for impact is researching which shrimp hatchery to donate to. If I wanted to maximize the value of my money I would be funding car bombs and ransomware vendors.

You can ask me how to docstring something or set up a package and I have literally no idea. I just have a knack for finding the worst, most cursed features the language has to offer so I can beat it into submission.

It’s really amusing to me (but not to my coworkers) that my knowledge of Python goes from “ok this is how you make a function and this is how you declare an array” straight to “this is how you inject line numbers into a dynamically generated function” with no in between.

Oh yeah since I am the release channel for unxip I pushed version 3.2 which fixes some Sendability stuff, including with the new betas. Also this slightly changes the API to make things work but hopefully it is more uniform now anyway.

I was the victim of a minor theft recently and I’m not even upset that I have to buy a replacement but that I *can’t* buy one since it’s not sold anymore.

Is it just me or is @github going “we will not maintain the single most used action ever” a red flag for the continued investment in this service.
