Tonights ice cream therapy is homemade butter pecan. I toasted the pecans in a skillet with salted butter and added a little dark brown sugar to give them just a hint of that candied pecan flavor. The next time I make butter pecan I will try emulsifying butter into the ice cream

Spent the day out at dad's cleaning up the property. I took the scythe to the brush along the driveway and started a little fire. We took a break for lunch and then went back out to finish up. He's gonna be 78 next year!
