Gigi would have been graduating high school this year, and most likely would have already made her commitment to play college basketball. When you think you can't, UConn. 💙
There are 4 former UConn WBB players playing in this Mystics - Dream game, and none of them were teammates in college. The longevity of this program really is on full display in the W.
To Amari, Caroline, Ayanna, Jana, Aubrey and Azzi. We love you so much. The energy you brought on the bench was everything and more. Seeing you on the court in uniform next season will be one of my greatest joys.
And I will keep doing this until this damn app figures this shit out and shuts this down. No need to be taking this long to respond to these reports. Especially of this nature.
I have to shoutout all the UConn players families who support the team, especially when their family member isn’t playing. Azzi’s grandparents, parents and Carol’s sister show up a lot, and it’s a testament to how this program is run. Just amazing humans involved.
Azzi parents being extended parents to all the Huskies is so damn cute. They are going to make sure someone is in the stands cheering for them. Just wonderful people.
Every single player wearing a UConn jersey who stepped on that court tonight contributed to this win. We don't make it to Cleveland without every single player. I am so damn proud of this group. Resilient, gritty and hungry.

I don’t think most people outside of UConn fans understand just how unique the homecoming games are that UConn WBB schedules. It’s such a nice thank you gift from the program. It’s one of the things that just makes UConn such a special place to play.
Woke up sad. Sad for the players, especially knowing how close it was to a win. Sad that this group of people will never have these moments together like this. I’m super proud though. Resilient, tough and gritty. They absolutely never gave up and I couldn’t have asked for more.
I need to find video of it, but on Ashlynn's three in the second quarter, I saw Jana go behind the bench to high five Aubrey. Jana is the ultimate teammate, she has been such a supporter on the bench. Really looking forward to seeing Jana work on the court next season.
Ice Brady stepped up for UConn women’s basketball at the Big East Tournament
On her season, her faith and her newfound confidence:
“I just never would have pictured this being how things would have turned out… God is good, that’s all I have to say”
1200 wins for Geno & CD!! Love that this was done together from day 1. This program isn’t what it is without both of them. And it will never get old CD holding back Geno from a tech 😭
I’m not sure others have noticed, but kids on their official visits to UConn don’t put on a jersey. I’ve always loved that that right is reserved for when you become a Husky. It’s a nice little touch to signify how special it is to wear that jersey & that name across your chest.
Hearing that Aubrey could have went home when she got injured at Creighton but wanted to travel with the team to DC to be with them 😭🥹 Love this team so much. 💙
never going to outwork a UConn player in this league. they will always come in prepared. really happy for Li, cannot wait to see she continues to progress!
Aaliyah’s teammates talking about her:
“She has a very good personality and a very coachable one… Aaliyah’s an example for every young player that comes in the league.”
I love how supportive the Fudds are 🥹. they go to almost every game whether Azzi is playing or not and they went to a bunch of WNBA games in the summer when Dorka was playing.
You do not have to like UConn, you can even hate us. But the jokes or comments about player's injuries HAS got to stop. Because at the end of the day, you better hope karma doesn't decide to humble your little ass at a moment's notice.
"I was really proud of them because I've been through a lot of these, but they haven't"
Geno Auriemma talks about why tonight was such a gratifying win for his team:
you really need to stop talking about kids that aren’t yours. because it’s giving hater. i wish hannah the best but you need to focus on your kid and leave the names of other players that don’t play for the school you root for out of it.
This made me tear up. We will miss you Roger. Cheer loudly for our girls next season all the way. My heart hurts for his family. Thank you for honoring him, Fudd Fam!!
RIP to one of the biggest UConn voices Roger Kuemper! Gampel Pavilion won’t be the same without you!! We know you’ll be watching the ladies on the big screen in your heavenly home!!

I know UConn has nothing to really lose by not winning tomorrow - but no matter what the circumstances are I hate losing. I don’t want to see them struggle because it breaks my heart when they do, especially the mental toll injuries can take. I just want a good, competitive game.
I love this photo. Can’t put into words what this team has meant to me. I never wanted something more for a group of individuals. You’ve still won. Even if the ultimate goal wasn’t achieved. There’s no losers here.
Lou worked her way into being a top 5 pick after playing at a mid major. Bad. Ass. I’m so proud. Bet on yourself and find a coaching staff who will help you see your dream realized. 💙
I finally got to see Paige play live in person and it was the most magical thing. I nearly cried when they introduced her in the starting lineup. She is so damn special, and I so happy that she's back and that she's ours.
While I’ll always rock with P, I really wish Aaliyah got the nod as well. Li was an anchor for this team all season, playing out of position and at times the only post player battling inside. You’re forever our player of the year
