PhDs often teach you humility. One of my most jarring moments was entering Silicon Valley at the beginning of the ChatGPT boom and listening to all the VCs claiming to be “Gen AI experts”. In retrospect, I’ve been right more than them. I never claimed to be a Gen AI expert.
