Certainly not good news ... Spatial variations of well-being broadly reflect patterns of socioeconomic deprivation โ€ฆ but the differences highlight complex and long-standing inequities present in the country. 5/6

Not so good news ... While areas of higher agricultural activity (notably South Island) show high national well-being, many rural areas, notably those with large Mฤori populations, still display lower levels of well-being. 4/6
