you are in full control of your reality. if you want to stop experiencing the same negative cycles, you have to break out of them by thinking differently. no one can help if you refuse to choose better thoughts.

Do not be afraid of disappointing adults by being principled & focused on what matters most to you. If you’re not aligned, it’s OK to walk alone cos the most accurate measure of how much you are self-neglecting is the amount of group think you believe or are involved in.

Please keep going. This is what devotion looks like. Nothing is wasted. Your body already agreed to this life. You are working. You are not late. This is the cost and this is the gift. This is enough. Your becoming is already happening. Keep going.

God is very intentional. Nothing about your life is random. Not the delays, not the detours, not even the waiting. He knows exactly what He’s doing. Please learn to trust him more this year.

my younger self would feel safe around who I am right now and that’s all that matters to me, I grew up into a woman that she can be proud of and I’m grateful for that always

When my younger sibling got to first year, the first break,I asked her to come to my house. She told me she doesn’t like the school and the reason, from what we concluded,it’s a Uni in a village and she wanted to come to town where her friends were
Siwezi ku beg urudi shule. Tunahesabu the money I was to pay for the rest of your education, nakupea ujipange maisha yako nayo. Then tunaishana as a parent and a child. No communication or association. Completely cut off. Same way my dad told me when I was playing with school.

Parents paying fees with chicken and manual labor, seeing this happen in real time changed something in my psyche I can never take access to education for granted and I don’t tolerate people who do
