Time to run back 2026 predictions: - Positive stocks - DXY stronger; EUR lower ; JPY weaker - USTs curve steepen - Crude lower, XAU & Base metals gain
Correct on equities (AI play), gold (geopols) crude oil (oversupply) and base metals. Wrong on most of FX and Fixed; no doubt USD weakness caught a lot of people off guard.

Saw people on here try saying US doesn’t need external oil. But they absolutely need heavy crude to keep refining operations in the Gulf of Mexico running well - and this all plays in favour of Trump’s “drill, baby drill”. Not to mention it does over China. Trump is a genius.

@CrispinCapital Mostly agree. Agree with 25bps cut and no explicit Powell guidance… But i do think if dot plots signal two cuts… stocks will fly! I paused my dca this week cause i think markets r too dovish.. and will be disappointed but ewe shall see😭
