When communities are empowered to design and deliver transformational health strategies for Indigenous men, it uplifts the whole community.

Thanks to the @AFLPlayers Care fund we have been able to donate $5000 to the @RizeUpAustralia foundation 🙌 This week is the Round to RizeUp at @PeopleFirstSt, where we show our support and raise awareness for those affected by domestic violence.

MOVEMBER, WE DID IT. 410km run, $11,200 raised so far. We’ve started conversations, helped breakdown the stigma that surrounds men’s mental health & raised funds to help prevent men dying too young. The support has been more than I could have ever imagined. 1/2

Becoming an ambassador for Movember has taught me that I have this incredible opportunity to tell my story and explain my ‘why’ and even if that encourages one person to seek help or understand that’s it’s ok not to feel ok or even reach out to a mate, then I’ll be stoked.

Losing my Dad taught me about the stigma that surrounds men’s mental health and put me on a path to want to make a postive change. Losing my psychologist to suicide taught me that EVERYONE can suffer and often, men tend to suffer in silence.….

Movember, we go again. It’s been 10 years since I lost my Dad & since we all like round numbers, I’m aiming to raise $10,000 this month & run 400km for Movember’s 20th year. A big challenge for me but let’s get uncomfortable so the men in our life don’t have to be 🖤
