For most sports people, achieving any one of scoring a great goal at a football World Cup, making a Test double century, or taking a 7 wicket haul would be career defining.
Ellyse Perry has done all three.
Twelve years on, I reckon Australia still doesn't fully appreciate how Ellyse Perry did this at the 2011

I’m not sure what’s been more impressive. The fitness and concentration from Litchfield having played 3 ODI’s in 6 days in stifling heat. 3 different styles of pitches. Runs setting and chasing. The sweeping v footwork down ground to spin. Let’s just say the kid can play!
10-20 years from now, when you say one of your favourite Test players was someone who averaged 28 with bat & 37 with ball, people might not understand.
You could explain differing roles, and what he meant to many different people, but in the end you'll know. You had to be there.
We probably won't get to see him feature in Test cricket again, and boy has Moeen Ali had a unique career in whites, to say the least.

Unsurprisingly, given the source, the framing of this story is deliberately misleading & divisive.

in 1973, England women beat Australia by 92 runs at Edgbaston to win the inaugural Cricket World Cup.
Enid Bakewell scored 118 & took 2-28. Captain Rachael Heyhoe-Flint, instrumental in devising the tournament itself, scored 64.
Nasser Hussain "I think the tournament has lacked something in the last 10 days. What they've lacked is the women putting on a show like they did last year.
Double headers is the way to go. The women taking centre stage later tonight, that's the way to go in the future as well."
I've no idea about attendances in New Zealand generally or Hagley Oval specifically, but that looks a good crowd for a neutral women's ODI.

Argument in favour of five-day women's Test matches?
There have been 142 women's Test matches played overall. This is the seventh to feature three declared innings.
There have been 2,433 men's Test matches. Only six have featured three declared innings.

It's telling that the ICC will take the time to rule on this, while ignoring the plight of the Afghanistan women's team, and having their eye so far off the ball that non-existent women's matches in France were being "played" to secure ICC funding.
Under new rules announced by the ICC, any player who has transitioned from male to female and has been through any form of male puberty will not be allowed to participate in women's international cricket
Ellyse Perry is IMO the greatest athlete ever to play women's cricket, but there is no way that particular ball legitimately broke the world record.
