The first day of conventions. Discussing all the talks and videos with my siblings and friends. Anticipating the next two days. My favourite weekend of the entire year. And it's coming to an end already. 🥹

I'm still not where I want to be o, but I'm exactly where I planned to be 5 years ago. I had to figure out some things out by myself by observing how others did it, asking questions, reading, researching. So the whole time, I've been studying but just not in the university.

Not to brag, but for someone who decided not to go to uni, I've learnt so many things that are very practical to the life and career that I'm building for myself. I've always been of the opinion that education never ends and that it isn't limited to the university alone.

He told us during his last wedding anniversary that he was excited at the idea of having many girls. It was so sweet to hear. 🤭
Over dinner today, my daddy was talking about something he planned to do for the house at the village so that it is more comfortable. Then he said "so that if any of my five girls want to visit.." He said it with so much pride guys 🥹

"Don't you know that when you get angry, it shortens your life span? Look at how skinny and sick you look because you're always angry" Maturing is realizing that he was teaching us to forgive and let go of hurt for a happier, healthier and longer life.
Growing up for me is realizing that all the "random" things my father used to tell me as a child are major life lessons. The fact that I can remember those words exactly how he said them because I can now fully understand the context.

"You come from a family of 7 seven children, and you think nobody will step on your toes, take your things without permission or basically offend you in general?" Maturing is realizing that he wasn't supporting bad behavior, rather he was teaching us tolerance.

My babe had gifted me this key holder along with all the physical and moral support he offered the whole time. My thought process that period was "why didn't I just continue working from home?" The reality of running a business had just kicked in and I wasn't prepared.
🌸 This time last year, I had just moved into the workspace I co-own with my sister and it was the start of being intentional about my fashion skills as a business. It's been one year now and the brand has grown. I have one intern, one staff and 3 apprentices. God 🥺
