It’s been a productive day! We have a roll off dumpster rn and got the garage cleaned out, spare bedroom purged and tomorrow will tackle my side of the basement. Ciabatta bread is baked (look at the bubbles it made in the fridge!), sourdough beignet dough is bulk fermenting,

This was yesterday, sunset today was not spectacular. I love a peachy/pink/orange sky.

Got about 2hrs left on bulk rise for ciabatta dough. It’s getting some nice looking bubbles. Sweet stiff levain for cinnamon rolls has about 4hrs. I’m going to use my 3.5” metal circle cutter on the ciabatta instead of trying to cut nice squares this time.

Been a busy couple of days. Had to remake my daughter’s hat, Hope found it. She took turns w/Waffles loving on the pom pom 🤦‍♀️ Just made this blue/rust/green one for my oldest son. 2 more to go. I found a better storage solution for finished hats 😂 I will be making another batch

Basic Honey Ginger Soy sauce. I like to reduce it a bit. It’s delicious.

Asian Fusion Spice Blend

Need a quick dinner? This came together in 20 using leftover sticky rice. You could make regular rice. Steak bites seasoned w/asian fusion spice blend, seared then tossed w/honey ginger soy sauce. A little sauce over the rice, sesame seeds and scallions.

What’s everyone cooking tonight? I made orange honey Chilean sea bass with a side of sticky rice and scallions for the boy. Got a big thumbs up and a ‘wow this is really delicious, thank you’ 😊

Had to have one bite, you know to make sure it’s not poison. These are very good. Used organic Ceylon cinnamon and the flavor is way better than the cinnamon I was using. These are not overly sweet. Topped with vanilla bean cream cheese icing.

Had to run Hope to the vet to have her paw looked at, will ice when I get home.

Annnnd away we go! Day 2 on soft cinnamon rolls. 6-8hrs for second rise. Heavy cream will be poured on top of each roll before baking. Cream cheese icing when done.

Simple, slightly late, dinner tonight as I had early evening errands to run. Buttermilk cheddar cornbread waffles, blackberry bbq sauced smoked pulled pork (couple of dashes of Blackberry Skirmish) and Memphis style coleslaw. @Half_A_Pond

Soft sourdough cinnamon rolls coming up! I will either share with neighbors or freeze 2/3 of them once finished. Haven’t decided yet. Hope you have a great Tuesday!

My list of hats for gifts is getting shorter. Bright stripes beanie for my flamboyant hair stylist, peach/cream/tan for daughter in law. Sitting at 3 left to knit up.

Because I was up all night babysitting the smoker, the boy gets a nice breakfast bowl. Skillet potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs and raw cheddar. Low-key looking forward to getting him on the bus so I can take a nap. Hope everyone has a great day!
