Finished the merino wool blend hat for my son. It fits his big head and he likes it. Win win! Husband’s new beanie will be this wool. I’m over color changes for a bit 😂

Straight from the nest to my plate 😊 time for a quick little food break then back to making a beanie for my son. He picked the colors from my stash of yarn I found the other day. Only 9 more rows to go and he will have a warm, soft beanie made exactly how he wants.

While I was outside checking the fence, Tina was yelling in the run. Decided to check on the girls as our oldest chicken is winding down and needs more attention. Anyway, Tina was in the laying coop and apparently very proud of her contribution to today’s egg haul. Thanks girls!

Did something new today. Smoked salmon for my son on the Traeger. First time using a smoker. Smoked with herbed lemon garlic butter on top. He says it’s good. At least I didn’t ruin it, so there’s that 😂

Hope is always watching, constant vigilance. She doesn’t much care for anything transiting in front of our house. Kids, people walking, animals, delivery drivers etc. If she’s really offended she will run to the backyard and yell at whatever/whoever is too close to our house.

My son fixed a pumpkin for the chickens. So far they just aren’t sure what to make of it. He even sprinkled BSFL on it to get them interested. Hopefully they decide to have a taste, I think he will be sad if they say nope.

18 brown butter pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies all boxed for the groomer tomorrow as a thank you for switching my dogs’ appointment from last Saturday to this Saturday. Next time I’ll use the 1tbsp scoop to make smaller cookies. Son says they are delicious!

Mise en place…all set for browned butter pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies. Just waiting on butter to cool down to mix, roll, dip and bake. These are for the dogs’ groomer tomorrow. I even found a cute pie box to put them in while looking for something else 😂

Yarn friends, you will understand my happiness! I found the box of yarn with all my malabrigo, boutique yarn and some random yarn I bought for stuff for the kids. Now if only I could find the rest of my knitting needles and crochet hooks. 🤔

Bruno is the 1st mini schnauzer we got. Waffles is his brother from the 2nd litter. 6 months apart. This little dude is a spicy potato, an agent of chaos, total a—hole, but every now and then he’s just as sweet as can be and you forget what a butthole he is. I ❤️ this lil’💩

I’m on my beanbag, all comfy & ready to dig in to book 3 in the series I’m reading. Hope decided that’s not how things are going to go right now. Waffles looks decidedly displeased that’s she’s laying on me instead of on her blanket on the couch. Looks like it’s cuddle time now.
