Been having a play with Rust 🦀 and made this Spectrum Analyser audio plugin (not fully finished!). https://t.co/1QZDXt97c3 Quite different to Haskell but still cool you can make VST/CLAP plugins. Had to learn a bunch of DSP concepts, Nih_plug, Iced and Rust but it's doable 😅

Sorry for sounding elitist, but all the best software engineers I come across end up gravitating towards FP. It often takes them years as a gradual process, but FP solves many problems that OOP struggles with. I wish FP people would stop with the math and category theory though.

I find it fascinating the amount of content available on complex subjects in Haskell. Yet when looking for good/basic architectural design patterns for production apps there are so few. 😢

Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed learning ML and think some of its uses are great. But I don’t need to see AI in everything especially when it’s just an algorithm not actual ML or LLM etc 🤷
