If i'm #UCLA, I strongly look into Colorado combo guard Isaiah Johnson. 6'1" freshman leading the Buffs in scoring (16.9 PPG) while shooting 48.6% from the field and 37.8% from 3. LA kid that went to Campbell Hall HS (same HS Jrue Holiday and Mick Cronin's daughter attended)

In terms of arms (which I know is trickier): Emmet Sheehan, Hunter Brown, Trevor Megill, Will Vest, Cade Smith, Spencer Schwellenbach

It’s tough with ballclub commitments/who was or wasn’t approached. Corbin Carroll getting injured certainly didn’t help. Would’ve MUCH preferred Matt Olson or Nick Kurtz to Bryce Harper. I also would’ve considered adding Jacob Wilson, Nico Hoerner, Kyle Tucker (among others).

Said this to some friends about Team USA prior to the WBC…there’s just a general lack of aura and juice with this group. Real levels of arrogance (as we saw with the DeRosa interview, Raleigh situation). I would’ve focused more on younger, hungrier players for the roster build.

With his reported signing today, Otito Ogbonnia joins Kenny Clark, Jay Toia, and Osa Odighizuwa as members of the Dallas Cowboys DL. Pretty cool and quite unusual to see four players from the same college all on the same NFL team…and within the same position group no less #UCLA

One thing I've been hugely impressed by with the new #UCLA staff are the efforts to connect with the community. The outreach has been great. We haven't seen that level of engagement in recent memory.

Even though March Madness is always fun + the baseball season in full swing… I can’t wait to watch Bob Chesney lead #UCLA onto the field in Berkeley. The hype for that game will be immense. It’s time to get this program back to being nationally relevant given its rich history
