It’s incredibly rare to hear anything remotely original in music these days. Some people spend their entire lives trying to do it and never do. SOPHIE did it on her first few singles.

I remember 1 night about 10 yrs ago I decided to check out the debut album by this guy John Prine as I went to sleep. I stayed awake amazed how each song was as perfect as the last through the whole LP and immediately knew he was one of the best to ever do it. #ripjohnprine.

I can’t think of a more extreme artistic arc than the sunny boy band pop star Scott Walker was in the 60s to the guy punching a dead pig as a percussion instrument in 30 Century Man. #RIPScottWalker.

Damn this is an amazing story.
So very sad to hear about Scott Walker. truly one of the greats. so unique and a real artist. On my way to work on the first day of recording OK Computer I passed him riding his bike on Chiswick High Street. and when I got to the studio Thom was holding a copy of Scott 4. .

Just finished our album for the 2019 @RPMChallenge! . Fear And Loathing In The Furnace Room. A sci-fi, acoustic, noise concept album about a higher dimensional presence trapped in a Cape Cod basement with a bunch of old instruments and an old photograph.

many people get confused when they encounter artists who do more than one thing & resist being pigeonholed. even in experimental circles the most well known artists are those who tend to stay in their lane & have honed a style that then becomes a steady & recognizable quantity.
