a lot of ppl also think you can't love cars with engines and also be fascinated by batteries and electric vehicle technology, which is more than anything just a projection of their own state of mind
this is one thing that ppl who are crazy about EVs (and not cars more broadly) dont seem to get an otherwise great car can be subjectively ruined just by having the wrong transmission but if there's an electric version of a car they expect it to be regarded as the best

like there's guys who like foxbodies that do not like any other mustangs but EV enthusiasts expect them to embrace the Mach-E like it's their long-lost kid or something

not sure there's anything worse than seeing a clean 1st gen M2 and realizing it's an automatic absolute crying shame

new kart steering column support. improves the rigidity of the column itself but im afraid it's still not enough to make a 6061 steering rod work. switching back to stainless but ill keep the new support since it looks nicer

the key was this .375" lasered steel plate from sendcutsend that reinforced the edge of the flanging tool. prevented it from flexing unevenly which in turn made the edge forming consistent

2ND OP WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would call that a complete aluminum drone frame. new tooling evenly worked the edge down vertical after i fiddled with the blank holding. took me a few tries, but we got there
