A patient was complaining of fractured sleep and nightmares because of an ongoing issue in his life and I was like, "SAME BRO SAME" in my head but obviously couldn't say this so I just went on with explaining the reason and the possible solution / coping skills.

On some days, optimism doesn't work and all you want is, to kill yourself.

Was watching the 1st episode of this docuseries MIND FIELD and this was one of the takes, "If you only have your own experiences, you're not fully having them. You have to have someone else to listen to them and react to them, and then you've fully experienced them."

Never thought I would have to give up on my dreams because I always tried to have realistic dreams but sometimes, you can't even achieve realistic ones.

My life is so cooked. The pressure building in my head regarding my career, regarding my future is insane.

A year filled with career related failures but the heart isn't very anxious, surprisingly. Going to keep working and hoping everything works out fine.

The topic of my future plans came up in the family gathering and I said, "I want to pursue psychiatry". Disapproved by almost every single person but I don't care.

I have been seeing so many examples of people with degrees and they didn't even appear in exams. Someone else did, in their place. I am also seeing people with govt. jobs who have never gone to their workplace or are on unofficial paid leaves. Mind boggling.

Moreover, he was expecting to get appointed as a Lecturer (BS-17) in the same university because of this close relationship with the VC. Aisy kesy? Things might be the same in Punjab too and I might not have come across this class there or maybe they are a bit different there.

Things in Sindh are quite bad. Met a person who has completed 3 years of his 5 year degree and is on a break for some time. Now that, his father's friend has become the VC of that university, he is expecting to get his degree soon(without actually completing it).
