4 years ago today every theatre in the UK shut down in the wake of an unexpected and unprecedented virus. Who knew at that point that we’d be in lockdown for years and that everythjng would change . One of the weirdest days of my life having to shut this show down.
And we're closed. My heart goes out to everyone who's putting all of their hard work in a box and shutting down production. Here's a tiny (not fully teched)glimpse of our show that I guess will have to wait a bit longer. #hailcremation @ntwtweets

Bond is writing in the early 60s and the dominant playwrighting force of his recent past is Samuel Beckett, the unassailable king of modern plays. The hermit is unmistakably a Beckettian character.
