The “Leap of faith” scene in Spider-Verse could’ve been the best scene in the film if the music choice wasn’t so awkward and out-of-place. Orchestral music would’ve worked so much better.

"orchestral music" wouldn't fit the scene because it wouldn't fit to Miles character like the music that was actually chosen for the scene does really. Orchestral would have been even MORE awkward and out of place for it because of that. People are weird.

Why is that orchestral music become the standard of "good music".
Why is that hip hop become the standard of "bad music".
I have the feeling that the reason is a bit more serious than it seems.
