If you think that flying cannot be worse, it can. Out of the 326 companies in the ranking, only 49 have reported non-CO2 effects. 277 companies left should stop turning a blind eye to the planet and start reporting their full impact of business flying NOW.

Clear targets = effective reductions. Out of 326 companies in #TravelSmart Ranking, 57 have set specific goals to cut emissions. These leaders are taking action & setting the standard for reducing business flying. Others must step up and follow their lead.

Keeping business flying emissions low is one of the fastest and simplest solutions for corporations and the aviation sector to meet climate goals. 🚨However 44% of companies in #TravelSmart Ranking have still not committed to cutting down flying emissions.

As the most climate-intensive travel mode, flying must be reduced. Only 57 out of 326 companies have kept their emissions below 50%. 50% reduction in business travel is needed during this decade, in order to keep aviation within a 1.5°C-compatible pathway.

The 25 largest corporate emitters account for 36% of all business travel emissions in #TravelSmart Ranking. 📢If these top 25 companies set targets to cut their business flying emissions in half, it would achieve a third of the reductions needed by 2025!.

Several major U.S. banks, such as Bank of America & Goldman Sachs, exited the UN-backed net-zero alliance. While some kept emissions below pre-COVID levels, others, like JPMorgan, surpassed them, with reports showing an increase between 2022 and 2023. ➡️
