This is actually correct. K beauty is nice and $ but if you want the real, you need to be looking into going there for procedures that are specific to their culture and will take a while to be brought to the US. I lived in Japan for 4 years, same there! Products = maintenance
Most of the innovation that happens in Korean beauty is actually on the R&D side of cosmetic procedures, because they're the only ones willing to pour time and money on trials with human subjects "Korean glass skin" is a result of this, topical skincare can only do so much

It IS NOT. Korean skincare and our skincare use the same global ingredient pool. Unless a product is patented, for example, how CECRED has patent ingredients in it - there is no special ingredients that Korea has access to that we do not. Cosmetic ingredients… (1/22) yikes

Australia has the best SPF not Korea.
she's right but asian sunscreens are superior and i'll die on this hill. pretty sure the fda hasn't approved a new sunscreen filter since the mid 90s so the products available here in asia are usually more innovative and i see far less fear mongering about chemical filters.

This being the largest acquisition in Prada’s history + bringing ownership back to Italy oh I’m seated!! Not to mention their styles are completely different Versace has been struggling significantly over the past few years this could def give broader reach idk exciting things

Debating skin care with an esthetician and cosmetic chemist with years of experience under her belt. This is the anti intellectualism thats plaguing our culture.
Korean Skincare IS better quality & more natural than most American used products. You just said they utilize innovative ingredients to create broad spectrum skincare for a multitude of skin types. Hence better quality product, you contradicted yourself…

I took a break from this platform for a while, but you all have supported my work for years, so it only feels right to share this here too. After almost three years of work, my debut cookbook I Sleep in My Kitchen is officially available for preorder 🥹
Recipes that have been passed down to me by my Palestinian mother 🇵🇸, and I've had the honor of sharing them with all of you. #freepalestine

I do not argue with people outside of my field which is chemical engineering and cosmetic science, aesthetics, on what can only be described as a hobby to you when this is my job and the industry I’ve worked in for 12+years.

This is long as hell but to really sum It up in the nicest way possible genuinely, You are trying to debate me based on something you “think” I’m providing education based on something I know.

Today, the focus is on clarity and radiance not necessarily changing your natural skin color.. so if you are in Korea you may still find some bleaching products here and there, in mainstream skin care you won’t. You’ll see words like whitening and brightening but it’s

Over time, this cultural preference evolved into valuing clear, bright, healthy looking skin rather than pale skin.. Korean beauty standards now favor, “whitening” or “brightening” but that refers to evening skin tone, reducing dark spots, and creating a glow.
