🤔 Is a video where nothing is happening the same as a photo? 📷 .Not for your eyes! 👀.Our new study in Psychological Science ( shows that expectations about potential scene changes guide your gaze—even when nothing is moving yet!

It was a great honor and a lot of fun hosting @HochreiterSepp at @scioi_cluster / @TUBerlin .After a day of discussion about the future and history of DL & LLMs, Sepp gave the first public talk on #xLSTM, check it out on

Very exciting indeed! Can't wait to hear more about xLSTM and discuss the future of LLMs when Sepp visits us at @TUBerlin @scioi_cluster on May 21st!.
I am so excited that xLSTM is out. LSTM is close to my heart - for more than 30 years now. With xLSTM we close the gap to existing state-of-the-art LLMs. With NXAI we have started to build our own European LLMs. I am very proud of my team.

We have a new preprint on bioRxiv 🎉 where my supervisors Klaus Obermayer, @MartinRolfs, Olaf Hellwich, and I (all @scioi_cluster) show that "Objects guide human gaze behavior in dynamic real-world scenes" using a computational modeling approach. A thread🧵(1/11).
