Developing a theme … Music from ‘The Voyage of the Story Shell’ which is an epic narrative told though live animation, projection, song, and music. It’s will run at Barnsley Bright Nights this Friday and Saturday

String quartet and vocal score ready to go for new commission

Love is The Strangest Thing … a theme for a new micro-opera composed with the @StreetwiseOpera Manchester performers. Eventually it will be a vocal + small string orchestra piece

Impression #2 - this one started while I was camping under an old larch tree, with a summer storm blowing through. The contrast of gentle sunlight and the moody storm shaped the atmosphere and textures of the piece

I’ve been writing a blossom-y new piece with the newly-formed Feels Like Home choir in Barnsley. It was sounding great in our first proper song through last night! A few more practices and then a first performance at Wentworth Castle Gardens in May 🌸
