Today we celebrated all the hard work from our Bilston Bairns’ GLEE Club! 🎭 🎤 💃🏻 Although we weren’t successful on reaching the National Final, we were so lucky to place 1st at our sectional and perform at the regional final! 🫶🏼❤️ We are super proud of each member! ⭐️🥰

To finalise our STEM week, P4 we got creative and designed their own marble mazes. We used straws, lollipop sticks and sellotape. 🤩 #BritishScienceWeek2023

Over the last two days, P4 have been getting involved with STEM challenges for #BritishScienceWeek2023. 🧪 🧫 🧬 We have looked at what liquid solution cleans a 1p coin most effectively, and how raisins react when dropped in lemonade. 🥤 We couldn’t believe the results! 😱🤩

Primary 4 have just started their new topic on Islam this week. Our lesson today was finding out about the 5 pillars of Islam. ☪️ 😊 We created these 5 pillars of Islam boxes to help us remember. 👍🏼 We even drew pictures to help us remember what each Arabic word means! ❤️🤩

Today P4 have been learning how to reflect a pattern over a line to make it symmetrical. 😊👍🏼 Everyone worked so hard! Look at us in action! 🤩

Today P4 and P1 ‘connected’ with each other through our Rock Paper Scissors jumping race! 🪨📄✂️ P4 helped by explaining the game and rules to the P1’s and even played alongside them sharing the experience! 😊👍🏼 #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

P4 completed their ‘connected’ jigsaw today to showcase how we are all linked in one way or another. 😊 We decided to draw things that make us happy on our jigsaw pieces and they are now on show to the rest of our school in our atrium! 🧩❤️ #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

P4 enjoyed some mindfulness colouring today listening to relaxing music. All in support of #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek ! 😊❤️ We even did some breathing and visualisation exercises too and spoke about ways to help calm us down. 👍🏼

Huge well done to P4 who have all completed their 12 week block of swimming lessons at Loanhead. From beginners to experienced swimmers they have all overcome challenges and improved their skills! 🏊🏻‍♀️ Today we were rewarded with our certificates! 🤩

Lovely to see some former GLEE members on the TV tonight for Children in Need 2022. 💛 #ChildrenInNeed2022 #proud

P4 got active with their spelling today by searching for their letters in magazines. 😊 This helped our skimming and scanning skills as well as helping us learn new words. 👍🏼

P4 thoroughly enjoyed paired reading with the P1’s today using their new book bug bags. 📖 I heard lots of great discussions about their new books! 😊 @BookWeekScot

Today in P4, we combined our ICT lesson with our new topic lesson on rainforests. We were improving our typing skills and our research skills by answering questions all about rainforests using the search engine - Google! 🌳🐅🐍🌳 We found out lots of interesting facts! 👍🏼😊

P4’s artwork is now on display in the school atrium! How amazing does it look?!? Primary 4 enjoyed seeing their work on show this morning as we came back from the cloakroom. 😊

P4 completed their Halloween/Autumn artwork yesterday. Look out for the finished display on Monday! 🍁🍂
