I feel like a sign of aging for me is that when I look through old photos now I’m less likely to think, “I wonder what happened to that person?” and more likely to think, “I wonder what happened to that shirt?”

So… like half of them think sex isn’t needed in TV & half of them think sex is needed in TV? And half want shows about romance & half want shows about friendship? So… we should keep making a mix of network shows and cable shows centering different types of relationships. Cool.

Absurd. Easily one of the best new shows of the year. Genuinely fun television. The kind of show that should be on primetime broadcast TV and would kill with a weekly release.

How? Is there a recurring bit where every episode they put 8 million dollars cash into a different barrel and light it on fire?

Solving a story problem or scene problem in a writers’ room is one of life’s greatest joys! And a few minutes with a half-dozen weird & brilliant writers will *always* produce something more fun and surprising than AI ever could.

Congrats to our entire Home Sweet Rome! team on our @TheCdnAcademy CSA noms today. @ScainiStefan got one for directing. @colebastedo got one for writing. And @_CJWalker & I managed to get one too! If we don’t win, we’ll just give ourselves these trophies we made for the show.

Every time I see that a picture was created by AI, I like to imagine that that’s a lower case L, and that some poor guy named AL is just locked up somewhere being forced to make all these terrible photoshops.

Here’s a thing about TV— stuff has to happen. A lot of stuff. Is it hard to make all that stuff feel new and fun and cool? Yeah! But that’s the job. It’s easy to just say no to everything uncool, but then you end up with 1 real moment and just vibes for 45 minutes. Such a drag.

The idea that the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce thing is some kind of conspiracy is so funny to me. She’s well known to have famous boyfriends. He’s been to 4 of the last 5 Super Bowls. This is incredibly normal stuff for them!

Wrote this epic 2-parter with @mattsbeenhere. Readthroughs were so much fun.

Another great character intro. Wish we’d gotten to finish Esme’s story.

A good lesson in the importance of strong character introductions. This scene and the way these two played it probably got us another 150 episodes.

They really let us do anything on this show! Also, this was a full decade ago.
