New paper out on cancer research priorities in resource-challenged regions post-COVID. Centering the voices of those that understand local issues: https://t.co/YxKgXziZ7i

This is a stunning failure by the UK’s public funders to continue to support NCRI. No more joint planning, no more clinical study groups, etc. Following the demise of England cancer plan this is yet another colossal strategic failure @AggarwalOnc @WHO @UKIGlobalCancer
Important news: NCRI is winding down after 22 remarkable years. Read more about this difficult decision here. https://t.co/VBf22H0HzC

Really great job opportunities in the @CancerPrev_KCL to work on the BEST4 cytosponge project in the Cancer Prevention Trials Unit. A chance to make a real difference to early cancer diagnosis working with brilliant colleagues.

A pleasure to be part of this session at #WCC2022 with @MiekeVHR @dmukherji @SullivanProf. The challenge of the global cancer burden should be faced as a global community of equal partners - particularly amidst acute systemic pressures such as COVID and climate crises
The economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic alongside ongoing uncertainty regarding the virology and epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 have implications for cancer research. A fascinating #WCC2022 session about redefining cancer research priorities in light of this.
