I am a believer of free markets and the rights and freedom of the individual. I oppose big government and believe tht powers of the state must be limited to guarantee independence of institutions and to safeguard our liberties.

Affirmative policies, meant to uplift, now enrich elites & fuel division. Corporate Malaysia thrives on this, tying politicians to patronage. No competition, no accountability and we wonder why politics in this country stays stagnant. Reform now or stay mediocre.

Mahathirnomics drove growth in the 80s 90s. But his success leaned on a flawed system. Cronyism festered and the system allowed the likes of 1MDB’s $4.5B scandal. We’ve paid too much to hope for another saviour. Reforms needed now.

Corporate Malaysia’s cronyism & state dominance trap us in the middle income rut. GLCs stifle competition, kill innovation. We can’t wait for another Mahathir, his era was luck, not a model. Time to break free from politics & patronage.

To grow, Malaysia must boost productivity via innovation & skills. The original Constitution’s checks on power support a free market. Bold reforms can reduce bureaucracy & spur entrepreneurship.

Malaysia’s next growth stage needs a limited government to boost prosperity. The 1957 Constitution’s federalism & liberties align with this, but amendments have concentrated power. Less state control fosters innovation & freedom.
