Personally, and I’m sure many others can attest, I have received appalling treatment in commercial television and equally so at the ABC. I’ve also had some of my best times at Seven West Media. This story is really about the dire need for cultural change in the media industry.

Why is commercial TV news such a toxic workplace, especially for women? Because proprietors have actively discouraged unionism, allowing bad behaviour to flourish.
