the history of "boombap" is actually interesting cuz its very mysterious i've looked into it alot and i cant point to a specific album or artist that caused the shift from 80s rap to that. you'd think this would be very well documented.

it be like if when i said Lil B started cloud rap ppl started saying "Kevin shields started shoegaze stop giving lil B credit" like yeah cloud rap is influenced by shoegaze but. or if they said "no afrika bambaata started rap u ignoramus".

Chop n screw is pretty well know id assume its self evident that slowed n reverb is a variation of it but i guess ppl not connecting the dots.
