Maybe my favorite graph I came up with this year. It’s only one piece for the picture, but looking back on the season, I think it highlights the fact that those top ~6 guys all would’ve have felt like deserving champions this year

No real takeaway from what I’m about to say but this is interesting to me because I try really hard to tell stories throughout the season with my graphs and I actually hate when the playoffs start because the smaller samples and resets negate everything that’s built up until then
The most popular period in the sports history that saw consistent steady growth was actually terrible because journalists weren’t being spoon fed manufactured storylines to write about.
