It's scary to think what I could achieve if I practiced it more often than every two months π. Anyway, it's September 13th and I've been to the gym twice this month... Tough times π.

If you're using GitHub on daily basis, there is one thing that you really should consider: Search Autocomplete userscript for Tampermonkey extension. It suggests available filters when you type `?` in a search field, which is a huge time saver β€οΈ. https://t.co/ncGB5CJTXb

Ooooofff, that's crazy π€―. I looked at the examples in the thread and man, I don't get how anyone can think it's a good idea to write a book using AI, and most importantly, don't verify it against reality. Wowaweewa π.
@dcblogdev I was looking forward to this, but itβs just a bad AI slop with hallucinated descriptions and made up features π I canβt recommend the βbookβ in the current state to anyone. The best materials available about PHPStan are on the official website, https://t.co/Zd5hcSs5dm.

It's been about a year since my team has fully adopted all the AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) And day to day I am feeling the added cruft in the code base. Unit tests are not catching regressions. Unneeded mocking, comments, are left in between. More refactoring is needed

Today is my daughter's 4th birthday & it's just unimaginable what a pure joy and the best gift of life she is π₯°. I could write a huge thread about how awesome she is & it wouldn't give you even the slightest clue about it - you would need to meet her to understand. LOVE HER β€οΈ!

Wow, a must have for elephpants' collectors π! Would love to have one, but I am worried that it won't be available after the conference - they're too good π
.
Itβs alive! After months of meticulous stitching, weβre thrilled to announce the official release of the #FrankenPHP elePHPant plushie! This isnβt your average plushieβitβs a grotesque yet charming creature, a patchwork of code and fluff, and the perfect companion for those

That's why you should sign your commits with GPG signature and configure your Github/Gitlab settings accordingly π. And CI/CD pipeline, no pushing to PROD π

Option+Backspace on Mac π. Works also in iTerm2 if you enable the "Natural Text Editing" key mappings in preferences (Preferences Β» Profiles Β» ... Β» Keys Β» Key Mappings tab Β» Presets dropdown). Crucial time-saver β€οΈ. Use Option + left/right arrows to move the cursor too.

When you have to work on Sunday, and when reading the company's policies documentation you read "skateboarders" instead of "stakeholders", then you know it's not exactly what you're willing to do today... π

I am wondering if there is another single person in the world cargoing hay in #Lexus π. Man, this car transported probably every kind of thing you can imagine: furniture, plants, sand, goats... I love this car, but still it's only a tool that's here to help us π.

I turn 41 today, what a ride it was since my 40th (second 20th π€ͺ) birthday! We bought a house, moved there, still struggling with renovations. I was forced to change job in the meantime. We even have 2 goats ππ
. In the background, I continued my #fitness journey. Grateful π₯°.

Really interesting change is going to land in #PHPCSFixer in the (hopefully) near future π₯°! This not only means you will be able to use FQCNs to configure Fixer rules, but it will also unlock using 3rd party fixers like those from Easy Coding Standard, that use FQCN as name π€©.

AI can really speed things up, but mostly when you know what you're doing, what you want to achive, and you understand (in a significant way) the outcome AI gives you. It helped me drastically in recent days, but the thought process still was mine, and I could debug and fix code.

This sums my stance on AI pretty well. Yes, I use it, but at the same time I still do regular searches, look at the docs and even source code, to understand things and be able to maintain/develop things on my own. I don't want to be AI-driven monkey.
AI demonstrates the sunk-cost fallacy perfectly: Just one more "this doesn't work!" prompt, you think, and it'll fix it!! But often it won't, and now you've wasted 30 minutes begging that you could have spent learning how to actually fucking do it yourself.
