Lita doesn't *trust* her mom. She keeps secrets from her bc she expects her mother to judge, not listen. It doesn't resolve neatly either. There's a spark of potential for a better relationship btwn Lita and her mom, but it'll be a journey. I'm very proud of this episode. (2/2)

One of the things I'm surprised we got away with in this latest batch of PRIMOS episodes is "Summer of El Demo." It's rare to have a Disney character who has a challenging relationship with their (biological) mother. (1/2).
