Sophie and I both received SCI Early Career Awards this week due to our work on the SCI Agri-Food Early Careers Committee. SCI is a great society if you’re interested in engaging with people working in science across both academia and industry.
At the SCI AGM on Wednesday Sophie (our secretary) and Amy (our committee chair) were awarded SCI Early Career Awards due to their dedication, enthusiasm and service at SCI. Read Sophie's interview here: & Amy's interview here:.

Translation UK was such a great conference 😁. It was lovely to meet and discuss my work with so many people working in the protein translation field. Thank you for all the suggestions! . Further, I feel honoured to hear that I won the 2nd place student talk prize 😁.#TLUK25.

A few weeks ago I went to @yrspp2024 in Utrecht. I really enjoyed meeting so many other young photobiologists☀️🌱. I’m excited already for YRSPP 2026 in Edinburgh 🏴 and I’m looking forwards to being part of the organising committee for 2026 😁

Tomorrow I fly back to Edinburgh 🏴. I’ve had the most amazing time in Malaga ☀️. Thank you to the Translation Team for all of your help and to everyone at the @IHSM_CSIC_UMA for looking after me. I promise I’ll continue to work on my Spanish 🇪🇸.
