I think sheep are great. I’ve always loved sheep. Sheep piss me off. Sheep massively piss me off. Cows are way easier than sheep. All of these statements are true.

I’ve been up in the Lake District for a week following Groundswell (what an amazing place that was!). Super impressed by the amount of wood pasture creation all over the northern Lakes. Well done to all involved, it’s going to look beautiful!

ā€œCorrelation doesn’t equal causationā€ springs to mind. I’m not defending pollution, there’s no excuse for that. But to imply that being in RT makes a farm more likely to pollute seems a bit shaky to me.

This seems a classic case of selective interpretation of data. The vast majority of larger farms are in Red Tractor, especially in more risk-prone sectors. Smallholders likely to be lower risk, but also non-assured.

Thank you for an excellent farm walk!. Great to learn about how a slurry pit can become a power station. A proper climate solution in action and we’re lucky to have it in Cornwall. Amazing cake too!.

Making use of Cornwall Council’s Forest for Cornwall grant and planting some trees along this fence line. They should give some shade for the rotational grazing that we run. I definitely recommend the grant to other farmers - show the world we can have both trees and farming!

Really cold today on our #FarmNetZero walk at one of the Demo Farms. But an excellent opportunity to look at outwintering options for cattle. Main takeaway is it is cheaper than housing on this farm and therefore has a lower carbon footprint.

Brilliant interview with some absolute top farmers!. Mike mentions how lucky he is to have great advisors based in Cornwall- I think we’re even luckier to have such progressive, open farmers who are contributing so much through the #FarmNetZero project!.
