āCorrelation doesnāt equal causationā springs to mind. Iām not defending pollution, thereās no excuse for that. But to imply that being in RT makes a farm more likely to pollute seems a bit shaky to me.
This seems a classic case of selective interpretation of data. The vast majority of larger farms are in Red Tractor, especially in more risk-prone sectors. Smallholders likely to be lower risk, but also non-assured.

Thank you for an excellent farm walk!. Great to learn about how a slurry pit can become a power station. A proper climate solution in action and weāre lucky to have it in Cornwall. Amazing cake too!.

Really cold today on our #FarmNetZero walk at one of the Demo Farms. But an excellent opportunity to look at outwintering options for cattle. Main takeaway is it is cheaper than housing on this farm and therefore has a lower carbon footprint.

Brilliant interview with some absolute top farmers!. Mike mentions how lucky he is to have great advisors based in Cornwall- I think weāre even luckier to have such progressive, open farmers who are contributing so much through the #FarmNetZero project!.
For our most recent case study, we caught up with Cornish farmers, Mike and Sam Roberts about the changes they have made to increase profits and reduce the carbon footprint of their suckler beef business. Read more here:
