If you ever had a “move back in with your parents” stage, you have no business judging homeless people. The only difference between you and them is you were privileged enough to have a fallback.

Did Idaho really eliminate Peer Support and ACT?!? I’m in disbelief. Not only is it heartless, it goes against evidence based practices and procedures. 😞

I’d love to see churches have to validate their tax exempt status every year- submit a spreadsheet of where every dollar went and make them explain how it helped the community. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Scammers almost got me. Figured it out and started messing with them a little. Figure the more time they waste on me, the less time they can spend scamming someone else. Stay cautious out there.

I got enough for diapers and wipes to get her through until the month of December! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed. If anyone else donates after this point, I’ll be using it to buy personal hygiene products for clients getting back on their feet.
Hey fam — helping a mom in a tough spot who can’t afford diapers this month. Local resources are tapped out. If you can help, it’s deeply appreciated. I’ll post receipts. Venmo: @ zolamarie CashApp: $ zolamarienelson PayPal: @ zolamorris314 If you can’t donate, a share helps.

It still seems so crazy to me that I randomly took a job in Oregon, bought my first house, and moved to a town where I literally only knew one person. It’s been up and down, with my husband spending my first month here hospitalized in another state, and my dog getting sick to the

This thread contains a story written about my life for the newspaper in my hometown. It was published in 2020, but I felt an urge to share it today. Now I have a bunch of cool letters behind my name and my entire career is focused on helping others and paying it forward. 💜
Early one morning in March 2014, Kodiak native Zola Nelson took her last shot of methamphetamine and heroin — just enough to keep the feeling of sickness at bay. She had been addicted to drugs for many years, but now she was determined to get clean and focus on saving herself

@ZolaInRecovery There’s no earthly reason for you to be alive, so it must have something to do with a power greater than yourself! Your life today is truly a miracle! Thanks for sharing the rough road you’ve endured and your fight to overcome it. Forgiving yourself is key! ODAAT. 🫶💯
