Sky 1st is probably gonna be the first Falcom game to break the 90MC barrier. Seems like they're legitimately set to get everything right for it.

Thought I'd have to choose between portability and performance but woo I don't have to.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is coming to Switch 2 at the same time as the other platforms. It'll be digital only. It will offer a higher resolution, frame rate and faster loading times compared to the Switch version. The Switch to Switch 2 upgrade pass will be $1.00

Great trailer. Leaning into the character aspect of this game and the interactions gives it a solid and distinct niche. All the new courses look great too, honestly wasn't expecting the whole of Northstar Islands to be here.
Go for gold in the Grand Prix, challenge racers online in World Match, compete for the best time in Time Trial, and change up the rules and teams in Race Park!. Face down the competition in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, coming September 25th!

There's gonna be like, at most, 10 tracks in that game and they're putting most of their eggs into the PvP elements. Honestly am half-expecting for it to get mixed reception like the original since reviewers still might not grasp the appeal, or feel its too light content-wise.

I wouldn't put Air Riders in the same talks as MKW or CrossWorlds since the competition aspects are going for something where racing isn't the hard focus. Fact that Sakurai even clarifies that racing isn't the core appeal and that the "main appeal" is City Trial says as much.

I didn't seee enough of Kirby Air Riders to warrant the purchase but I will say Sakurai is an extremely proficient presenter. It was a good and thorough showcase without feeling slow.

Yeah that certainly is A Sequel to Kirby Air Ride. Cool for people who like the original but that's a pass for me, especially given the price point.
I'm still deeply skeptical about this game since I really don't like the original on a fundamental level, but I'll let Sakurai cook. Game must be meaty if the dedicated direct for it is this long.

Worldwide release + Switch 2 version being on cart gave them lots of momentum. Plainly targeting teen demographics with the art and character designs, rather than kids like before, might've helped too. Hope this momentum keeps for RF6!.

It wouldn't really fit given how Ninja Gaiden's gameplay steadily shifted towards something more high octane and spectacle-driven, but I wish future games kept the more quiet and contemplative atmosphere of the 2004 game. Sucks that it AND Onimusha ultimately abandoned that.
