Today checked a few Eurasian #lynx marking sites. Tracks in the snow reveal a lynx recently passed. Meticulous inspection of the logs reveals the few hairs left by his rubbing. 👀😻

Two #badger play in front of my #cameratrap. Do they court each other!? The breeding season runs from January to March.

No lynx on my new #cameratrapping site, but there is one interesting sequence of a tawny #owl passing in front of the CT several times.

Lynx hairs that get caught on a wood pole when the #lynx rubs its cheek against it.
Since the last fresh snow ❄️❄️ (December 21), I've been snow tracking practically every day. It was only on January 2 that I came across #lynx tracks in the usual places. He marked stones, young spruce trees and piles of wood. Lynx have very large territories 😻 #snowtracking

Here is hoof print of red #deer 🦌 for comparison 👀 with print of wild boar 🐗 #snowtracking
Typical for wild #boar tracks are the crescent-shaped imprints of the two dew claws laterally behind the hoof prints.
