@Incogni17422663 There are no images from the moons surface with the earth close to the horizon. All surface pictures containing earth show it close to nadir. The images that actually show earth over the horizon are ones taken when in orbit around the moon.

@Incogni17422663 They didn't see or photograph the earth coming up over the moon horizon. What you are referring to is a photo taken on the Apollo 8 mission from the command module as it orbited the moon.
